Bull Bar info:
Crafted and rigorously tested in Australia, Rockarmor’s premium steel bullbar is built to handle the toughest conditions. This beefy bull bar provides optimal front end protection for your vehicle, maintaining airflow to the engine to prevent overheating during demanding drives. Made with a sturdy 63mm diameter cross tube, it shields your vehicle from animal strikes, debris, and other hazards that could damage critical parts like headlights, the front grille, and engine components. The design not only prioritizes protection but also ensures that your vehicle's aesthetic appeal is maintained.
This bull bar isn’t just about looks—it's built for function, suitable for both on-road commuting and off-road adventures. It has been put through a strict set of testing procedures that guarantee durability, making sure your vehicle is well protected in all terrains and conditions. Whether you're navigating city streets or tackling rugged trails, Rockarmor’s premium steel bullbar offers peace of mind, knowing your investment is safeguarded with high-quality materials and engineering.
INSTALLATION
When installing your bull bar, especially to stay compliant with NZTA regulations, it's recommended to mount the LED daytime running lights separately from the headlights. Also, you'll want to adjust your fog lights downward by three degrees to optimize visibility without blinding other drivers. Proper installation ensures not only legal compliance but also maximizes the safety features of your rockarmor’s premium steel bullbar.
If your vehicle’s suspension isn’t upgraded to handle an additional 60-100kgs—considering the weight of the steel bumper and optional winch—you might run into issues. We strongly suggest upgrading your suspension, particularly at the front, to support the added load. Factory suspensions are often not designed to carry extra weight and can sag or become bumpy, which, over time, could cause further damage to your vehicle’s chassis and components. A suspension upgrade ensures you maintain your vehicle’s handling, comfort, and longevity after fitting the bull bar.
When fitting the bull bar, leaving a minimum 10-15mm gap between the bull bar and the vehicle’s body is crucial. This allows for independent movement between the chassis and the body, especially during off-road driving or when the vehicle hits uneven surfaces. Proper spacing helps prevent potential stress or damage to the vehicle structure and ensures the bull bar performs optimally under demanding conditions.
