INSTALLATION

When installing the steel bullbar, especially in New Zealand, make sure that all daytime running lights are installed separately from your headlights to stay compliant with NZTA rules. Also, the fog lights should be adjusted to three degrees downward for optimal illumination and safety at night.

If your vehicle’s factory suspension isn’t upgraded to handle the extra weight of the elite steel bullbar, along with an optional winch or other accessories, it’s highly recommended to consider suspension upgrades. Front suspension particularly needs reinforcement to support additional load (60-100kgs). Without these upgrades, your suspension may sag, leading to a bumpier ride and potential damage over time. Upgrading ensures vehicle stability, safety, and longevity, especially if you're hitting rough terrains regularly.

To prevent unnecessary strain on your vehicle, leave about 10-15mm clearance between the bullbar and the body of the MU-X. This gap is important to account for chassis and body movement during driving, particularly off-road, allowing for independent movement without putting undue stress on the mounting points or your vehicle’s structure.
