Bull Bar info:
The Rockarmor Elite steel bullbar is designed and tested right here in Australia, making it a reliable upgrade for your Mazda BT-50. This elite steel bullbar offers top-tier front-end protection, essential whether you're hitting the highway or venturing off-road. Crafted with a sturdy 63mm diameter cross tube, it provides excellent defense against animal strikes, debris, and minor accidents that could otherwise cause costly damage to your headlights, front grill, or engine components. Plus, the bar's design ensures optimal airflow to your engine to keep cooling efficient while maintaining its aggressive, rugged look.
Built for versatility, this steel bullbar is perfect for drivers who need a tough, functional addition that doesn't compromise the vehicle's performance. It's tested under strict Australian standards, giving you peace of mind knowing it’s designed for real-world conditions—whether you're on tar or trail. Its robust construction combines strength with safety features, including airbag compatibility, to make sure it enhances your vehicle's protection without sacrificing safety or compliance.
INSTALLATION
When fitting your elite steel bullbar, especially to comply with NZTA regulations, remember that all daytime running lights should be installed separately from your headlights to ensure proper functionality and legal compliance. Additionally, fog lights need to be adjusted downward by about three degrees to prevent blinding other drivers and to optimize road visibility.
If your vehicle's suspension isn't upgraded to handle an extra 60-100kgs—especially if you're adding a winch or heavy-duty bumper—we recommend installing an aftermarket suspension upgrade. The additional weight puts stress on your factory suspension, which can lead to sagging, a rougher ride, and potentially more serious damage over time. Upgrading your suspension, particularly at the front, will help maintain a smooth, safe ride and protect your investment in the elite steel bullbar and any accessories like electric winches.
When installing your steel bullbar, maintain a minimum gap of about 10-15mm between the bar and your vehicle’s body. This allows for some movement between the chassis and the body, accommodating suspension flex and preventing undue stress or damage during driving, especially on rough terrain.
