INSTALLATION

Rockarmor New Zealand won't guarantee their winches unless specific installation guidelines are followed:

1. Winches must be installed by a qualified electrician to ensure proper wiring and safety
2. An isolation switch must be installed separately to prevent unnecessary battery drain when the winch is not in use
3. Misusing the winch—such as operating beyond its rated capacity or improper handling—may void the warranty and pose safety risks

Similarly, for the spotlight and LED fog lights, following proper installation procedures is crucial for warranty validity. Ensure that these lights are installed correctly, and avoid misusing or adjusting them improperly to maintain compliance and performance.

For NZTA compliance, remember that all daytime running lights should be installed separately from your headlights, with fog lights adjusted downward by three degrees for safety and regulation adherence.

If your Landcruiser's suspension isn't upgraded to handle the extra weight—roughly 60 to 100kgs—especially around the front, we strongly recommend upgrading the suspension system. Factory suspensions can sag or feel bumpy, which could lead to further damage over time. Upgrading will help maintain a smooth ride and protect your vehicle’s chassis and body integrity.
