GT HOOP STEEL BULLBAR - TOYOTA HILUX 05-2011
FITTING VIDEO BELOW
The Rockarmor GT hoop steel bullbar, designed locally in Australia, offers a sleek yet rugged look that perfectly suits late model Toyota Hilux vehicles. It balances modern aesthetics and maximum frontal protection, making it an excellent upgrade to safeguard your vehicle on tough off-road adventures while enhancing its appearance.
Beyond providing unbeatable frontal defense, the Rockarmor GT bullbar is engineered to improve your Hilux’s off-road capabilities. Key features include higher approach angles for better clearance over obstacles, built-in rated recovery points capable of handling 3.2 tonnes for recovery operations, and versatile provisions for essential accessories such as electric winches, driving lights, and UHF communication antennas. These features are designed to make off-road recoveries safer and more efficient, giving you peace of mind when tackling challenging terrains.
This full bumper replacement steel bullbar installs without requiring modifications to the factory bumper thanks to its thoughtful design, saving you time and effort during installation. Moreover, it's engineered to be fully compatible with your vehicle’s safety systems, including front sensors and cameras, ensuring that safety features remain functional after installation. The finish comes in a highly durable black powder coat, offering excellent resistance against corrosion, scratches, and environmental elements. Your local Rockarmor Distributor can also match the bullbar’s color to your vehicle for a seamless, customized look.
It's important to note that, for compliance with NZTA regulations, all daytime running lights should be installed separately from the headlights. Additionally, fog lights must be adjusted downward by approximately three degrees to meet local safety standards.
Features & Specifications:
INSTALLATION
To keep everything compliant with NZTA rules, make sure to install the daytime running lights separately from your main headlights. Remember to adjust your fog lights downward by about three degrees to meet safety standards.
If your vehicle’s suspension isn’t already upgraded to handle additional weight—roughly 60 to 100 kilograms—it’s strongly recommended to do so, especially in the front. The steel bullbar and potential winch can put extra strain on your suspension, leading to sagging, a bumpier ride, and possible damage if not addressed. Upgrading suspension will help maintain ride comfort and protect other components.
When fitting the bullbar, leave at least 10-15mm gap between the bar and the vehicle body. This gap accounts for chassis and body movement during driving, avoiding unnecessary stress or contact that could cause wear or damage over time.
