Features & Specifications:
THE ROCKARMOR GT BULL
This new bolt-on bull bar has been designed locally here in Australia, tailored to match today's late-model vehicles like the Mazda BT-50. It not only looks great but packs a punch when it comes to protecting your vehicle's front end. The Rockarmor GT Bull offers significant frontal protection while maintaining your vehicle's factory aesthetic, blending rugged reliability with sleek design.
Beyond just good looks, the GT bull bar is all about improving your off-road experience. It features higher approach angles so you'll clear obstacles with ease, and includes dedicated recovery points rated for soft shackles, ensuring your recoveries are safer and more straightforward. Plenty of built-in features make it a smart upgrade—like provisions for a electric winch (up to 12,000 pounds), mounting points for fog lights and driving lights, and UHF antenna mounts that keep your comms gear on point.
The steel construction, with sturdy 51mm tubing, means this bull bar is built to take a hit, while the bash plates add extra protection to your vehicle's undercarriage. The integrated LED fog lights and indicator lights are perfectly integrated into the design, providing enhanced visibility in poor conditions. The twin high-lift jack points and recover points make trail recoveries safer and more convenient, whether you're hauling yourself out or helping a mate.
This bull bar has been engineered with your vehicle’s safety in mind, ensuring compatibility with factory airbag systems and bumper sensors so you can enjoy rugged protection without sacrificing safety features. The durable black powder coat finish resists scratches, chips, and corrosion—ready for any adventure. Optional color matching is available through your local Rockarmor distributor for those looking to customize their look further.
INSTALLATION
To meet NZTA requirements, all daytime running lights should be installed separately from your headlights. Fog lights, including those integrated into the bull bar, need to be adjusted to about three degrees downward to ensure proper road illumination and compliance.
If your vehicle’s suspension isn’t upgraded to handle the added weight of the bull bar and optional winch—typically between 60-100kg—we highly recommend doing so. Upgrading the suspension, especially at the front, helps prevent sagging, maintains your vehicle’s ride quality, and protects it from potential damage caused by the extra load. Running factory suspension with a heavy bull bar can lead to a bumpy ride and long-term suspension issues.
When fitting your bull bar, leave a minimum gap of about 10-15mm between the bar and the vehicle body. This gap allows for chassis and body movement independent of each other, which is essential for preventing stress and potential damage during off-road use or high-speed impacts.
