Bull Bar info:
Designed & tested right here in Australia, Rockarmor’s premium steel bullbar offers top-notch front end protection for your vehicle. The heavy-duty construction features a 63mm diameter cross bar, carefully engineered to maintain optimal airflow to the engine while providing maximum shield against impact — whether from animals on rural roads or off-road obstacles. This premium steel bullbar is built tough enough to handle everyday driving, long trips, or off-road adventures, giving you peace of mind.
It's designed to be functional on both on-road and off-road vehicles, with a focus on durability and practicality. The rigorous testing process ensures your vehicle stays protected during unexpected bumps, rocks, or animal encounters. The lightweight yet sturdy design helps preserve the vehicle’s handling characteristics, while flexible features such as accommodating winches and lighting options make it a versatile addition to your vehicle setup. Plus, the sleek finish and robust build quality mean it looks good too, blending strength with style.
INSTALLATION
To stay compliant with NZTA regulations, all daytime running lights should be installed separately from your headlights. Also, make sure to adjust the fog lights downward by about three degrees for optimal performance and safety. Proper installation not only ensures compliance but also maximizes the functionality and longevity of your bull bar system.
If your vehicle’s suspension isn’t upgraded to handle additional weight—typically around 60-100kg—it’s highly recommended to upgrade it, especially in the front, before installing the steel bumper and optional winch. Upgrading suspension helps prevent sagging and a bumpy ride, which can lead to more serious damage over time. Factory suspensions may struggle under the extra weight, so an upgrade preserves your vehicle’s handling and safety.
When fitting the bull bar, leave at least a 10-15mm gap between the bullbar and the vehicle body. This space allows for independent movement of the chassis and body, helping to prevent stress and damage during rough driving or when the vehicle flexes over uneven terrain.
