Bull Bar info:
Designed & tested in Australia, Rockarmor’s premium steel bullbar offers exceptional front-end protection while maintaining optimal airflow to the engine. Crafted with a heavy-duty 63mm diameter cross bar, this bull bar safeguards crucial parts like your headlights, front grill, and engine components from potential impacts—be it animal strikes or debris on the trail. The robust construction of Rockarmor’s premium steel bullbar ensures your vehicle is well-protected in both urban and off-road environments.
This bullbar isn't just about toughness; it’s built for practical everyday use. It’s engineered to be functional, whether you're cruising city streets or navigating rugged backcountry tracks. Every aspect undergoes rigorous testing to give you confidence that your vehicle is protected at all times, without compromising on style or airflow. The integrated design also allows for easy mounting of additional accessories like LEDs, antennas, or a winch, making it a versatile addition to your vehicle.
INSTALLATION
According to NZTA regulations, all daytime running lights should be installed separately from your headlights to ensure compliance. Additionally, the fog lights need to be adjusted downward by about three degrees to optimise illumination and avoid blinding other drivers. Proper installation not only keeps you road-legal but also maximizes the safety features of your premium steel bullbar.
If your vehicle's suspension hasn’t been upgraded to handle additional weight—especially considering the bull bar, optional winch, or heavy-duty accessories—we recommend doing so beforehand. Specifically, the front suspension should be strengthened to support weights between 60-100kgs. Without such upgrades, your factory suspension might sag or become bumpy, which could lead to uneven tire wear or damage over time. Upgrading your suspension ensures smoother rides and better handling, preventing unnecessary wear and tear on your vehicle.
When fitting the bullbar, leaving a gap of about 10-15mm between the bar and the vehicle's body is crucial. This space allows for independent movement between the chassis and body, especially when traversing uneven terrains or rugged trails. Proper clearance helps in avoiding stress or deformation of components during off-road adventures, ultimately enhancing your vehicle’s longevity and safety.
