INSTALLATION

To meet NZTA requirements, all daytime running lights should be installed separately from your headlights. Additionally, fog lights need to be adjusted downward by approximately three degrees to comply with regional regulations. This setup ensures your vehicle remains legal while maintaining optimal lighting performance during off-road adventures or nighttime driving.

If your vehicle’s suspension isn’t upgraded to handle the added weight of the steel GT hoopless bull bar—especially with an optional electric winch installed—it’s highly recommended to consider suspension upgrades. Upgrading, especially in the front, prevents sagging and maintains ride quality when adding 60-100kgs of weight. Without these upgrades, your factory suspension might struggle, leading to a bumpier ride and potential damage over time due to the increased load and weight distribution changes.

When fitting your hoopless bull bar, we advise leaving a gap of around 10-15mm between the bumper and the vehicle’s body. This space allows for natural movement and independent chassis and body motion during off-road driving, helping to prevent unnecessary stress or damage.
