MS2 Microsquirt V2.2

Microsquirt MS2 running the latest 3.34 Firmware, bringing you the newest features and improvements for optimal engine tuning.

The MS2 is powered by a high-performance HC9S12C64 processor from Motorola's HCS12 family, all embedded on a custom-designed circuit board to ensure reliable operation in tough conditions—perfect for 4wd enthusiasts, offroaders, and anyone wanting a versatile standalone EFI system.

This unit can easily handle everything from single-cylinder engines up to V8 setups, making it ideal for a wide range of applications like offroad 4x4 builds or modified utes. Whether you’re running two-stroke, four-stroke, or rotary engines, the Microsquirt can control between 1 and 12 injectors, giving you the flexibility for nearly any engine configuration.

Compatible with both high impedance injectors and low impedance types (we offer resistor packs if needed), ensuring you can fine-tune your fuel delivery for maximum performance and throttle response in rugged offroad environments.

Equipped with 16 x 16 fuel tables and 12 x 12 ignition tables, it's built to cater for precise fueling and ignition curves tailored to your driving style or terrain demands. The system integrates seamlessly with all Windows-based software, including popular tuning programs used for offroad and 4x4 setups. It supports narrowband and wideband oxygen sensors, making tuning simpler whether you're on the trail or at the dyno.

Auto-tuning capabilities enable the ECU to learn and adjust fuel maps over time, while built-in datalogging helps you analyze engine performance and diagnose issues quickly—crucial for offroad adventures where reliability matters most.

Idle control options include both on/off and PWM modes, supporting versatile idle management no matter your setup. It can take inputs from TPS, AFM, MAF sensors, and features an ITB mode for individual throttle body setups typically found on high-performance utes or offroad builds.

On / Off Cam control such as VTEC, VCT, VVT, or Mivec is compatible, allowing for advanced camshaft timing adjustments on more sophisticated engines—giving you that extra edge for turbocharged or naturally aspirated 4x4 builds.

The system supports many standard vehicle sensors, simplifying installation and bring-your-own-tuning approach, which means you don’t have to worry about complex wiring. It’s also ready for engines with multiple coils or Wasted Spark ignition systems, making it suitable for those building custom offroad or 4WD engines.

To make startup easier, we provide a free fuel-based map tailored for your engine, helping you hit the ground running with your offroad project or daily 4x4 build.

All necessary software, drivers, vacuum hoses, cables, and wiring loom are supplied to get you up and running. Plus, the system offers excellent value compared to big-name ECUs like Link, Microtech, Motec, Haltech, or Maxx, delivering reliable engine control at a fraction of the cost—perfect for budget-conscious offroad enthusiasts or custom builders.

Enhance your driving experience with optional Motorsport features included at no extra charge—launch control for controlled burnouts or shooting flames, flat shift for smoother gear changes, boost control for turbo setups, shift lights to keep you in the perfect RPM range, table switching for dual fuel or ignition maps, Flex Fuel support for ethanol blends, and fan control for engine cooling management.

Full installation and dyno tuning services are also available, so you can be sure your 4x4, ute, or offroad machine is set up perfectly for maximum power and reliability.

Support is just an email away, providing backup and troubleshooting help whenever you need it—keeping your build on track even during tough offroad adventures.

The ECU comes with a 1-meter pigtail loom on an AMPSEAL connector, with an option of a longer 2.5-meter loom available for an additional $130, ensuring flexible mounting options in your vehicle or offroad rig.

Included is a GM 3 Bar MAP sensor and hose, suitable for high-altitude or turbocharged 4x4 applications, along with a USB tuning cable for easy adjustment and setup from your PC or laptop.
