This Recirculation valve (quiet in operation) is designed for the BMW 135/235 N55 3.0 Turbo engines in F20 chassis models, equipped with electronically controlled bypass valves. It comes highly recommended for vehicles that have undergone ECU software upgrades to increase boost pressure or for unmodified vehicles operating in warmer climates, serving as a reliable solution to prevent OEM valve failures. The failure of the valve might not trigger a check engine light, causing power loss unnoticed, as the valve can be blown open by the boost pressure, compromising the diaphragm's sealing ability. In severe cases, this failure can lead to the valve disintegrating upon removal from the turbo, potentially introducing plastic bits into the turbo and causing significant damage.
