Warranty
The short version
Every product Kren Bits sells carries a 12-month standard manufacturer's warranty from the date of delivery, covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Some products carry longer warranties from the manufacturer (lifetime structural on certain bullbars, 5-year on certain shocks, etc.) — these are noted on the relevant product page and apply per the manufacturer's terms.
This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights — for NZ customers under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986, and for Australian customers under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing on this page limits those rights.
What's covered
- Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.
- Premature structural failure under normal use — broken welds, cracked mounts, prematurely-failed bushes, electrical components dying without external cause within the warranty period.
- Powdercoat or paint defects not caused by stone chips, impact, or abrasion.
- Function-critical electrical components (lighting drivers, wiring looms, switches) failing without misuse.
- Hardware (bolts, nuts, brackets) supplied with the product, where the failure is not caused by under- or over-tightening.
What's not covered
- Damage caused by accident, collision, misuse, or use beyond the product's intended purpose.
- Damage caused by incorrect fitting — including DIY installs that don't follow manufacturer instructions, and installs by non-partner installers where fitting fault is established.
- Normal wear and tear — bushes, brake pads, tyres, shocks reaching their service interval, consumables.
- Cosmetic damage from stone chips, scratches, mud abrasion, sand/salt corrosion, UV fade, or environmental exposure.
- Modifications, alterations, or repairs made to the product after purchase.
- Products fitted to vehicles outside the manufacturer's published compatibility list.
- Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, except where required by law.
- Products purchased outside Kren Bits' authorised channels.
- Damage during transit if the customer accepted delivery without noting damage on the courier's manifest.
How to lodge a claim
- Read this page in full before submitting.
- Have your order number, photos, video, proof of purchase, and full vehicle/fitment details ready.
- Complete the warranty claim form below in detail. Incomplete forms slow your claim down.
- We acknowledge receipt within 1–2 business days. Straightforward claims are typically approved within 3–5 business days. Complex claims requiring product return for inspection take 10–15 business days end-to-end.
- For approved claims: resolution is at Kren Bits' discretion in line with manufacturer policy — repair, replacement, or refund.
