Factory Ford Ranger intercoolers have a number of features that result in higher inlet temperatures and engine running temperatures. This kit serves as a significant upgrade over that factory intercooler system, installing into a higher position that's less likely to take damage while off-roading. HPD has also included a transmission cooler in the design to maintain cooler transmission temperatures while towing or off-roading in your vehicle. Between this, the aluminium end tanks, and the higher quality piping, this intercooler is a drastic improvement in thermal dissipation which allows for other engine tuning enhancements to safely allow increases in torque and power.This intercooler kit replaces and upgrade the existing piping, increasing the hot side piping diameter to 57mm and the cold side pumping to 63mm, all the way up to 70mm at the inlet manifold. To make installing the kit easier, it has been designed to fit directly back on to the factory mounting points through a series of laser cut brackets and gussets that have been TIG welded to the end tanks.
