REDARC's 52mm EGT and Boost/Vacuum Gauge is designed to measure boost pressure and exhaust gas temperature of diesel turbocharged vehicles, keeping you informed of the temperatures being produced by the combustion processes inside your vehicle's cylinders. Excessive exhaust gas temperature can be damaging to your vehicle's engine and turbocharger, and can be caused by a number of conditions such as when you're climbing, pulling a heavy load, or running at continuous high speed. That makes this device a must-have for off-road vehicles, 4WDs, campers, and performance vehicles.
The gauge boasts a number of helpful features including a satin chrome bezel, a display that illuminates when your park lights are on so you can check battery voltages and discharge or charge current without having to turn on the ignition, and programmable alert levels with amber or red backlight and an audible beep. All of these features combine to afford you an unprecedented level of awareness of the health of your engine's combustion process.
The vacuum sensor is an indispensable feature, detecting the difference between atmospheric (outside) pressure and the amount of vacuum present in the manifold. This can help you gain insight about a number of issues including problems your vehicle might have with engine rings, valves, leaking intake manifold gaskets, and more.
The gauge also features a "K" type EGT sensor and electronic boost MAP interface, which offers a peak hold function and a display range from 0-35 PSI. The EGT also incorporates a peak hold function with a range of 275 to 800 degrees Celsius, and is programmable between 500 and 800 degrees Celsius. The sensor has a 1/8" NPT compression fitting as well as a weld in the mounting bung.
The REDARC Digital Pyrometer and Boost Gauge is delivered with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty covering faults and material defects.
