The factory slip yoke on the rear output shaft is fine for standard street use, but once you add a lift and bigger tyres, the angles and stress loads increase significantly — and that's when things can start breaking.
This Rough Country Slip Yoke Eliminator Kit converts your transfer case from a slip yoke setup to a fixed yoke, which is a much stronger and more reliable arrangement for lifted Jeeps. It's a solid upgrade for anyone running their XJ or TJ on the trails regularly.
